As of today, the total number of encouragers who have submitted forms on this site is 242! This does not include the many people who have joined through church groups. We are amazed!

AE Requests has taken off and continues to grow in numbers, both requests and encouragers. We have heard from the encouragers that sending letters to people with specific needs is both enjoyable and encouraging.

Thank you for your support of Anonymous Encouragers. We could not reach so many places and so many people without you!

We'd like to leave you with a verse of encouragment. Isaiah 38:3-6 says, "Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart, 'Take courage, fear not....' Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will shout for joy..." (NASB).

God bless,
Anonymous Encouragers Team

...AE Requests and a new option to send letters to the military.

We are thanking God for expanding the ministry of Anonymous Encouragers. Over the span of a few days, two new projects have been added to Anonymous Encouragers.

AE Requests is a branch of Anonymous Encouragers, allowing individuals to request that an Anonymous Encouragers letter be sent to a friend or family member in need of encouragement. If you would like to make a request, visit the AE Requests page. If you would like to volunteer to write letters for AE Requests, visit Join AE. You will find a link at the bottom that will direct you to sign up information.

After a request from an encourager, we found a way, utilizing the Letters from Home program, to send Anonymous Encouragers letters to U.S. military men and women.

Thank you so much for your support.
If you have any questions or comments, please email anonymousencouragers[at]hotmail[dot]com.

As Anonymous Encouragers continues to grow, we are looking for new ways to expand. Recently, an idea came to us for setting up a program that allows people to request letters to be sent to friends and family members. In this way, the ones who really need encouragement will be targeted.

In this process, after requests are sent in, willing AE members will then be sent one or two addresses per week. It will be the job of the receiving member to write an anonymous letter of encouragement.

What do you think? Comment here or on our Facebook page.

In the mid part of August we were contacted by journalist Carla Hinton and asked if we could do a phone interview for The Oklahoman. Of course we said yes.

The article about Anonymous Encouragers appeared August 28, 2010. You can view it online here.

We must admit that we were pretty shocked when we heard that K-LOVE Radio wanted to "partner" with us and start the Anonymous Encouragers Initiative. After the radio interview with K-LOVE's Julie Williams, we were surprised that AE could get even bigger! Sterling, one of K-LOVE's DJs, emailed us and said that K-LOVE wanted to set up something so that their web listeners could find out about Anonymous Encouragers. Sterling's idea: the Anonymous Encouragers initiative.

You can see the amazing-looking graphic on Sterling's bio page at klove.com here. She also talks about the Anonymous Encouragers initiative sometimes when she's on air between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Central.

We have received a lot of encouragement from people who have signed up to be encouragers. (Go to the form here.) As we have read and replied to these forms, we have separated each by age category. The results are amazing to us! Here is the number of encouragers, separated by age category:

Under 13 years: 1 encourager
13 years-18 years: 17 encouragers
19 years-25 years: 7 encouragers
26 years-35 years: 29 encouragers
36 years-50 years: 35 encouragers
Over 50 years: 17 encouragers
Prefer not to say: 2 encouragers
Total: 108

Thank you for your support and prayers!

Recently Anonymous Encouragers partnered with K-LOVE Radio to bring you a new version of anonymous letters. (See Six Easy Steps for all of the information.) By putting K-LOVE radio station numbers at the bottom of each letter you write, you will give the recipient an opportunity to learn more about God. K-LOVE has always been faithful in sharing the Gospel, and we hope that this effort will allow recipients who do not know Christ (or those who want to learn more) to gain access to the truth.

Keep checking back here for more information, or stay connected with our Facebook page (see sidebar).
