Become an Anonymous Encourager
in Your Community
1. Choose a name and address in your city’s phonebook.
2. Write a letter in your own handwriting.
(A handwritten letter will let the receiver know that a real person wrote it.)
3. Sign your letter “A.E.” or “Anonymous Encourager."
4. If you want to, include the name or website address of a
Christian ministry that has encouraged you.*
5. Address the envelope, making sure to leave out your return address.
(Leaving out your name and return address not only ensures your security,
but also guarantees no personal recognition for this act of kindness.)
6. Mail your letter.**
*We have received some valid concerns that referring to a ministry
will be seen as an ad or that the receiver may think
the encourager is an employee of the ministry.
The reason for referring to a ministry is to guide recipients to
a Christian organization that will help them to
learn more about Jesus Christ.
**Anonymous Encouragers is not responsible for expenses
such as stamps, letters, and envelopes. These must be willing donations
given by each anonymous encourager.
